Forging tomorrow's classrooms

LearnForgeAI is a future AI education innovation lab — not a marketing agency, SaaS vendor or generic course catalogue. We prototype synthetic learning environments, immersive experiences and virtual education assistants for Canadian schools and education innovators.

A note from the innovation lead

"Education changes when we build together — in the lab, with educators at the centre."

When we founded LearnForgeAI, we asked a simple question: what if the future of learning were forged through experimentation rather than purchased from a vendor catalogue? Our answer became this lab — a place on Sixth Avenue in New Westminster where educators, researchers and designers collaborate to prototype synthetic AI environments that enrich discovery without displacing the irreplaceable judgment of qualified teachers.

We are not a marketing agency, SaaS vendor or generic course catalogue. We are an education R&D studio committed to ethical AI, immersive pedagogy and open experimentation. Every prototype that leaves our bench has been shaped by faculty input, student focus groups and rigorous privacy review. I invite you to tour the lab and see what forging tomorrow's classrooms actually looks like.

What we build in the lab

Synth

Synthetic environments

Scenario-based learning spaces where learners explore, simulate and discover through AI-mediated experiences designed with educator oversight.

Immerse

Immersive classrooms

Spatial learning technology and digital twin environments that transport learners into prototype future classrooms.

Assist

Virtual assistants

Learner-centred AI tools that augment educator judgment in real time — never autonomous replacements for teaching professionals.

Curriculum

AI curriculum tools

Generative curriculum design systems co-built with faculty teams and aligned to provincial learning outcomes.

Assess

Simulation assessment

Knowledge simulation demos and scenario-based assessment frameworks tested in partner school pilots.

Ethics

Responsible AI review

Every prototype passes ethical AI checkpoints covering bias, privacy, accessibility and educator authority.

Lab origin

Why New Westminster

LearnForgeAI was established on the Sixth Avenue corridor in New Westminster, British Columbia — a growing creative technology hub within Metro Vancouver. We chose this location deliberately: close to school districts, post-secondary institutions and the diverse communities that make British Columbia's education landscape unique. Our Suite 412 lab space combines workshop benches, immersion testing rooms and a co-design studio where partner teams work alongside our researchers.

The lab emerged from a conviction shared by our founding team: that Canadian education deserved a dedicated innovation sandbox for AI — not another corporate consulting practice repackaging slide decks, and not another passive online course marketplace trading credentials for clicks.

Research philosophy

Build, test, document

Our research philosophy is pragmatic and educator-centred. We believe prototypes should be tested with real learners under qualified supervision, documented for responsible adoption, and shared openly with partner institutions. We publish internal research briefs, contribute to education technology ethics discussions and maintain transparent limitation documentation for every virtual assistant and simulation we deploy.

We reject the hype cycle that treats AI as a magic solution. Instead, we forge incremental, evidence-informed innovations that respect the professionalism of educators and the agency of learners.

The team

Cross-disciplinary lab researchers

LearnForgeAI brings together education researchers, instructional designers, AI engineers, immersion technologists and ethics reviewers — all united by a commitment to learner-centred innovation. Our team has backgrounds in K-12 pedagogy, post-secondary curriculum design, human-computer interaction and Canadian privacy law. We collaborate with partner school faculty on every major prototype, ensuring that lab outputs reflect classroom reality rather than theoretical abstraction.

Future classroom prototype demonstration

Prototype development

From concept sketches to classroom-ready pilots — our engineers and designers build in the open with partner feedback loops.

Synthetic learning environment research session

Education research

Qualitative and mixed-methods evaluation of prototype efficacy, learner engagement and educator adoption patterns across pilot schools.

AI knowledge simulation demonstration in the lab

Ethics & privacy

PIPEDA-compliant data governance, bias auditing and accessibility review integrated into every development milestone.

Sixth Avenue context

Our campus on the corridor

300 Sixth Avenue, Suite 412 sits within New Westminster's emerging innovation district — walking distance from transit, riverfront amenities and a growing community of creative technology studios. Our lab welcomes partner school teams for residency engagements, prototype sprints and quarterly showcase events. Virtual lab tours are available for remote partners across Canada. We are proud to operate as a British Columbia corporation (BN 849631407BC0001) serving education innovators nationwide.
