LearnForgeAI Inc. ("LearnForgeAI," "we," "us" or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit our website, contact our education innovation lab, participate in lab programmes, pilot partnerships or residency engagements. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and safeguard personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) where applicable, and other relevant Canadian privacy legislation.
By using our website at learnforgeai.life, submitting a contact form, enrolling in a lab programme or entering into a partnership agreement with us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our services or provide us with your personal information.

We implement policies and practices to give effect to the principles set out in PIPEDA, including designating personnel responsible for privacy compliance, training staff who handle personal information and conducting periodic reviews of our privacy practices.
2. Identifying purposes
We identify the purposes for which personal information is collected at or before the time of collection. The primary purposes for which LearnForgeAI collects personal information include:
- Responding to inquiries submitted through our contact form, email or telephone
- Processing lab tour requests, pilot partnership enquiries and residency applications
- Administering lab programme enrolment, scheduling and participation
- Managing school pilot partnerships and evaluating prototype deployments

3. Consent
LearnForgeAI obtains meaningful consent for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information. Consent may be express — such as checking the PIPEDA consent box on our contact form — or implied where appropriate and permitted by law. For sensitive information, including information about minors collected during school pilot programmes, we require express consent from authorized institutional representatives and, where applicable, parental or guardian consent in accordance with school district policies.
You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide certain services. To withdraw consent, contact [email protected].
4. Limiting collection
We limit the collection of personal information to what is necessary for the identified purposes. Information we may collect includes:

- Cookie preferences: records of your cookie consent choices stored locally and in essential cookies
During school pilot programmes, learner data is collected only under formal data processing agreements with partner institutions. LearnForgeAI practices data minimization and does not collect learner personal information beyond what is necessary for the scoped pilot purpose.
5. Limiting use, disclosure and retention
Personal information is used and disclosed only for the purposes for which it was collected, unless you consent to additional uses or disclosure is required or authorized by law. We may disclose personal information to:
- Service providers who assist with hosting, email delivery, analytics (with consent) and internal operations, bound by confidentiality obligations
- Partner institutions involved in joint pilot programmes, under data processing agreements
- Professional advisors including lawyers and accountants, under duty of confidentiality
- Government authorities when required by law, court order or regulatory demand
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes without express consent.
Personal information is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Contact form submissions are retained for up to three years unless a longer period is required for ongoing partnership management. Analytics data is retained in accordance with our analytics provider's policies and our internal retention schedule, typically not exceeding twenty-six months.
6. Accuracy
LearnForgeAI endeavours to keep personal information as accurate, complete and up-to-date as necessary for the identified purposes. You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information by contacting [email protected]. We will amend records as appropriate and, where necessary, forward corrected information to third parties to whom data has been disclosed.
7. Safeguards
We protect personal information with security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL protocols
- Access controls limiting personal information to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis
- Secure hosting on Canadian and North American infrastructure with reputable providers
- Regular review of security practices and vendor compliance
- Staff training on privacy obligations and secure data handling
- Incident response procedures for suspected data breaches
While we implement robust safeguards, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada of breaches involving real risk of significant harm, as required by PIPEDA.
8. Openness
LearnForgeAI makes information about our privacy policies and practices readily available. This Privacy Policy is published at learnforgeai.life/privacy.php. Additional information about specific data processing activities, subprocessors and cross-border transfers is available upon request by contacting our Privacy Officer.
9. Individual access
You have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you and to receive an account of its use and disclosure. Access requests should be submitted to [email protected] with sufficient detail to identify the information sought. We will respond within thirty days, or notify you if an extension is required under PIPEDA.
We may charge a minimal fee for providing access where permitted by law. We may refuse access in limited circumstances permitted by PIPEDA, such as where disclosure would reveal personal information about another individual or where information is protected by solicitor-client privilege. If we refuse a request, we will provide reasons and information about the complaint process.
10. Challenging compliance
You may challenge LearnForgeAI's compliance with this Privacy Policy by contacting our Privacy Officer at [email protected]. We will investigate all complaints and respond within a reasonable timeframe. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at www.priv.gc.ca or, for matters within provincial jurisdiction, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Essential cookies are necessary for website functionality and do not require consent. You may update your cookie preferences at any time by clearing site cookies and revisiting the site, or by contacting us.
12. Children's privacy
LearnForgeAI's website is directed at educators, school administrators and education professionals — not at children under the age of thirteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our public website. During school pilot programmes, any learner data is collected and processed exclusively under formal agreements with partner institutions, which remain the primary custodians of student records. Partner schools are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from parents or guardians in accordance with their policies and applicable law.
13. International transfers
LearnForgeAI is based in Canada and primarily processes personal information within Canada and the United States. Where personal information is transferred outside Canada, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including contractual protections with service providers and assessments of the receiving jurisdiction's privacy framework. By using our services, you acknowledge that information may be processed in jurisdictions that may have different privacy laws than Canada.
14. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including partner school sites and research publications. LearnForgeAI is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements or business operations. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
